FAQs
What is a Smart Communications System?
A Smart Communications System is what we are calling our cloud-based communications system. The services include instant messaging, video and audio conferencing, remote accessibility, and cellular integration. It provides user mobility and flexibility to work anywhere with an internet or cellular connection.
What differentiates you from a regular telephone system?
Our cloud-based system has every feature imaginable! It offers unlimited flexibility and automatic upgrades for current features. A simple cost-per-user model includes all service, support, dial tone, and even long distance.
What is VoIP? What does it do?
VoIP is an acronym for Voice Over Internet Protocol. It allows any device with a microphone and speakers connected to the internet to work as a phone. For our Smart Communications System, the primary advantage of VoIP is to connect multiple offices, allowing users to work remotely through the internet. It will enable you to have phone numbers from anywhere in the world ring on your local phone system at no extra cost.
Why would I buy a new phone system when my current system works fine?
Our cloud-based system will save you time and money. It will improve every facet of your communications. It is engineered to provide users remote accessibility, video conferencing, cellular integration, and call recording without the additional costs for servers or add-on applications associated with older phone systems.
System Features
What are some of the features included in the cloud system?
The Wildix Smart Communications System is the most extensive feature-rich system on the market. It offers personalized phone books, outlook integration, contact dialling, softphone and smartphone integration, call recording, and detailed usage reports.
Can employees work effectively from home?
Yes, our cloud-based system allows employees to work anywhere they have internet or cellular access. Working remotely is identical to working in the office and as easy as opening a web browser.
Does your system have video conferencing?
Yes, video conferencing is a standard feature included in every user license. It can accommodate conferences up to thirty-five people and can be streamed for multiple uses. An additional feature you can add is complete webinar software.
How can I manage employees while they’re remotely working?
You can see what they are doing and where they are when they are logged into the system. The cloud system can also generate reports of their work.
Will my staff be able to use their cell phones?
Yes, they can talk and communicate on whatever device they choose, including desk phones, headsets, smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.
Can you transfer incoming calls within the business?
Yes, you can transfer calls to different users within the business or on your system’s contact list. You can also transfer calls to anyone outside the office. With our system, there are no complicated codes or conference programming required. Drag the call to the user you want and release; it’s as simple as that.

Services
What other services do you offer?
Aside from being the largest private Voice provider in Manitoba with over 3000 installations, we have an extensive managed services division. This division looks after our client’s networks to guarantee the system is always running effectively. We offer everything from servers, firewalls, PCs, and laptops to Cloud backups, complete network design, and security.
Before applying for your Cloud-based system, does our internet have to be running at top performance?
Not necessarily, to use our cloud system, you need to have a good, stable internet connection. It does not have to be a dedicated fibre connection. Typically, a Shaw or Bell connection from $120-$140 per month is more than adequate.
Is my network able to handle VoIP?
Your network needs to be correctly configured and designed to support VoIP. In most cases, the changes are minimal. A well-designed network with commercial-grade hardware, proper security, routing, and backups are essential for a secure system in today’s digital age. Viruses and hackers are getting smarter with this age of technology, and your system needs to combat these attacks.
I own a small, busy company with ten or fewer people. Can I take advantage of this offer for a minimal investment and cost?
Yes, with today’s workforce, the cloud solution offers every feature on a cost-per-user basis that is affordable for every company.
What do you recommend if I own a busy office with ten or more people?
We offer both Cloud and premise-based solutions based on the individual client’s needs, costs, quality of the network, and internet. We will work closely with you to evaluate each option to make the best decision for your business.
What would you recommend for a business with multiple locations and a large staff?
We recommend a cloud solution that is a cost-effective option for designing a unified communications system for a company with multiple locations.
